Motivation

Consider work that involves genuinely creative and inventive aspects but work that also by necessity is the product of group interaction and multidisciplinary involvement.

Dan Pink's compelling (with RSAnimate's engaging video/graphic style) piece on motivating humans, intrinsic vs extrinsic, a (now) classic web presentation that must be seen (video on youtube but produced by www.thersa.org).

Question:
So how does compensation structure perform as a determinant of team performance? Put another way, how do teams perform as collaborative units under differing reward structures?
